RIP Matty & Jared

Last night there was a car accident involving four seminarians from Mundelein Seminary near Chicago. Two of the seminarians Matty Molnar and Jared Cheek were killed. Matty died on impact and Jared died this morning after surgery. The other two seminarians are in stable condition and are expected to be okay. I've read some comments on Matty's blog and it just rips your heart out. He was only 28! his birthday was a few days ago. His last update was on Wednesday. It just shows you that tomorrow or the next day is NOT promised.
I think one reason why Matty and Jared's death's hit me so hard is because they were going to be great young priests, just the kind we need. Maybe their deaths will inspire more young men to join the priesthood. Reading over Matty's blog, he seemed so cool and funny. I would have liked to hand out with him y'know?
God had plans for them that we could not have foreseen. May both of their souls rest in peace and may Jesus, Mary and all the Saints comfort their families and friends.
